The inaugural South African International Ballet Competition (SAIBC) came to a splendid close at a glittering Gala affair on Saturday 19th January when all the medallists in the various divisions were announced onstage at the Artscape Opera House.
The Cape Town City Ballet will present Giselle, regarded by many as the ultimate classical ballet at Maynardville Open-air Theatre on Sundays only during January and February 2008. (20 January- 17 February 2008) Sundays only.
The Hong Kong Ballet Ball 2008, "Jewels", will be held on Saturday, 19th January 2008 at the Grand Ballroom of InterContinental Hotel. One of the most glamorous charity events in town, the Gala will be an evening of glittering stars with 450 distinguished guests in attendance.
