Dana Tai Soon Burgess & Company returns to New York City for a special performance on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 8:00 pm at Skirball Center for the Performing Arts at NYU, 566 LaGuardia Place at Washington Square South, NYC. This special program choreographed by Burgess that deals with relationships and finding a sense of self and calm in the calamity of life.
Great American choreographer Eliot Feld once again takes a leap from tutus to post-classicism when he presents his Mandance Project at The Joyce Theater for a two-week season, March 25-April 5. The season will once again include the guest company HORSE from Taiwan, directed by Feld dancer Wu-Kang Chen and his collaborators in the U.S. premiere of "Bones," created by the dancers.
Terrain, choreography by Rebecca Lazier, premieres two dance installations at Joyce SoHo, 155 Mercer Street (between Houston and Prince) January 29th – 31st, 2009.
