The 92nd Street Y welcomes Karina Romero, the new host for our Argentine Tango parties. Romero trained in ballet, jazz and modern before she turned to tango, studying with masters Mingo Pugliese, Mariella Franganillo and Pablo Varon.
Dances Patrele 20th Anniversary Celebration begins at Barnes & Nobel Lincoln Triangle, 1972 Broadway (at 65th Street) on Monday, April 13th at 7:00 pm. The Free event is a celebration, talk and CD/book signing in honor of the company's 20th Anniversary and the premiere of MURDER AT THE MASQUE.
The Martha Graham Dance Company, the oldest and most celebrated contemporary dance company in America, will play a special Paris engagement at the historic Théâtre du Châtelet April 14 – 18, 2009. They will be performing three separate programs of Graham classics some making their Paris premiere at the 2,500 seat theatre a month before their New York City engagement.

New York City based choreographers Ben Munisteri and Rebecca Stenn have collaborated, with their companies, to create an evening entitled “CHOPPED AND SCREWED.” What they will present is not a typical shared evening where each company contributes their own works, instead Munisteri and Stenn remix the other's choreography to create an alchemy of utterly surprising and unpredictable work.

The result is Sooner Than You Think, premiering March 18-22 2009 at the 92nd Street Y Harkness Dance Festival, a dance about coping with new environments.
