Thu, Nov 5, 8 pm, $100 (special tickets adding dinner and dessert available). The seminal event of this anniversary year will be our Gala performance, held in the 92nd Street Y’s historic Kaufmann Concert Hall.
There will be a Memorial for Francis Mason on Friday, October 30th, 2009 at 2:00 pm at The Joyce Theater, 175 Eighth Avenue (at 19th Street). The speakers and program will be announced soon. It is open to the general public.
VALERIA SOLOMONOFF, in collaboration with her nine dancers, has created 'TANGO POR ELLOS,' an indiscreet window into the life of tango dancers. Solomonoff weaves stories and individual characters into her two-act work, which depicts dancers first in a rehearsal studio and later at a Milonga.
Contemporary Ballet with Brian Carey Chung. The class, while eschewing negativity, challenges the dancer to venture beyond habits of the mind and body, to remain open and willing, and to take ownership of the creation of art.
Henning Rübsam: SENSEDANCE performs a special engagement for its 2009 season with the New York premiere of "Impending Visit" at the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Theater, NYC. The varied program will be performed Saturday, November 7th and Sunday, November 8th at 8:00 pm.
Cork City Ballet, in association with the Cork Opera House, recently launched its forthcoming production of The Nutcracker, which will run at the Cork Opera House for four performances Novembver 19th, 20th, & 21st 2009
