26 Performances by Jewish Artists
Friday, December 11, 8 pm
Saturday, December 12, 3 pm
Sunday, December 13, 3 pm

NEW YORK, NY: November 25— The 92nd Street Y has supported Jewish women who create, sustain, transform and personify modern dance since its inception 75 years ago. Anna Sokolow, Pearl Lang and Sophie Maslow created dance at 92Y in the 1930s and ‘40s; Ze’eva Cohen, Wendy Osserman, Risa Jaroslow, Andrea Miller and Jill Sigman do so today. As part of its 75th Anniversary Season, the 92nd Street Y Harkness Dance Center is spending the weekend of December 11-13 celebrating some of our favorite contemporary “dames of dance,” with over two dozens performances of new and repertory works. Dance Center director Renata Celichowska says, “This weekend is a chance for us to focus on a group of dance artists whose connections with us run deep and whose visions – all female – are remarkably diverse.” The Friday evening program is dedicated to Anna Sokolow; the Saturday matinee honors Amy Sue Rosen, and the Saturday evening performance celebrates Pearl Lang.
Each performance is $12; each program will have one intermission.
