Celebrating 75 Years of Dance at the 92nd Street Y

For 75 years, the 92nd Street Y has supported, presented and taught dance, creating a home for everyone from Martha Graham to your daughter.

HARKNESS DANCE FESTIVAL – 15th YEAR, Week Five: March 18th – 22nd 2009

During a year of particularly hectic travel and frequent extended separations, of indistinguishable hotel rooms and airports, Nelson and Lara Malvacías (whose partnership is personal as well as professional) started thinking about how people transform, and are transformed by, the space they are in. The result is Sooner Than You Think, premiering March 18-22 2009 at the 92nd Street Y Harkness Dance Festival, a dance about coping with new environments.
