South African Ballet Theatre is pleased to announce a special early-bird double deal on ticket prices to two of its seasons for 2010 – the ideal Christmas gift for ballet lovers, Swan Lake and Carmen.
The Hong Kong Ballet (HKB)'s Beijing Tour 2009, which concluded last week at the National Centre for the Performing Arts, was a resounding success. The Hong Kong Ballet was the first troupe to take to the stage of the National Centre for Performing Arts' Opera House this New Year and captured the hearts of the audience with the timeless classic, Swan Lake.
The next NEW YORK INTERNATIONAL BALLET COMPETITION will mark the organization's 25th Anniversary. Dancers from around the world will arrive in New York City for the two-week preparation period, June 8- 25, and public performances will take place June 24-28 at the Rose Theater, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center, Broadway and 60th Street. Founder Ilona Copen continues as Executive Director; Richard Chen See is Director; and Eleanor d'Anutono remains at Artistic Director.
SABC 2 and The South African Ballet Theatre are extremely pleased to announce that, due to public demand, the 2007 production of the world’s most popular ballet Swan Lake, will be re-broadcast on Christmas Day, 25 December 2008
